For all of you that aren’t quite sure what World Gaming is you can now read all about us and check out our legal section to put any questions you might have to rest!

We’ve also added a press section displayng some of the publications we’ve been in and a job inquiry section for anybody who might be inetrested in working for and with us. We’re currently looking for All-Star Developers, Quality Assurance people and Interns.

World Gaming hosted its first big FIFA 08 Challenge last weekend through our live online BETA community. With 128 gamers all competing for the $5000 first place prize, it was Dennis “The Original Dirty” Sanchez who walked away with the big check. Playing as Real Madrid, Sanchez defeated Anthony McLouth who played as Germany.

Big Rich McDonough is a real beast of a worker and one of the best guys around. Usually you just say somebody is a good person just to say it, but with McDonough it rings true. He’s one of the few guys on the team that’s married and has children but he’s always got WG on his mind and it never shocks anybody when he sends off an email at an odd time. Rich LeBel or “Chuckles” as I call him is my main man around the office and forms one half of Double Rich (you’ll meet McDonough next week). I took a liking to LeBel the second I met him (as does everybody that meets him) and he quickly became my office drinking partner in crime! LeBel is best know around the office as the guy who orders food for everybody, his love for “tasty treats” or BBQ Frito Hoops and his colorful and flamboyant wardrobe that accompanies his good time adolescence hijinks (the pic above is from a years agw when he decided to roast marshmallows on his private parts) . We’ve gotten a ton of email from people all over the world who have been asking what’s going on with the company and where we’re at.

Here’s your answer…

We are currently in a closed BETA sector and are going through rigorous testing to get us ready for the live launch to the entire public. To date, we have 150 gamers from around the world ranging from LA, New York, London, Australia, Japan and China. We are letting in more users every week, so if you’d like to be randomly selected, please enter your email address at our homepage http://www.worldgaming.com/ where you’ll also have a chance to win $50,000 in cash and prizes that we’re giving away just because we love our gamers!

We are working around the clock to work out all the bugs we’ve found in the software but this is all for the benefit of you! Taking the extra time to fix everything so it runs smoothly will only make your experience on the site better and that’s all we really want for our users!!!

This is the official WorldGaming BETA Blog and where we will first bring you all our updates as they come about, so be sure to check up with us often.

We will start a weekly unveiling of site features so you can get a sneak peak into what the site looks like and how everything will work. We will also start unveiling members of the WG team so you can get to know us, who makes us run, and what it’s like to work in the crazy world of video games!
