I loved and miss college so much. As a young student I had some of the rowdiest times ever partying with fellow co-eds at the University Of Illinois campus in fabulous Champaign, Illinois. Those were the days, I tell ya.

So like a loser who hangs onto the past I get really excited every time some publication comes out with it’s list of Top Party Schools. I’m always sad that U of I never makes the list but get so excited to see who made it. I especially love the List of top party schools by the Princeton Review because you have to figure that the nerds at Princeton aren’t out partying and have nothing better to do than study who else is out drinking, having sex and getting into all sorts of mischief.

Although they’re direct Bog Ten rivals, the good kids at Penn State have taken home this years top honors. Congrats kids, I’m proud of you. This makes me laugh. Some dope thought that a great way to stop burglaries would to be create human flypaper. All you have to do is set it inside your front door at night or when you’re out and anyone who breaks in will be stuck to it.

I think this might just work.

Of course, then they will take off their shoes and be seriously ticked off, at which point they will go on a rampage and destroy your home or  come after you should you be in their eye sight. But hey, without their shoes burglars are basically helpless right?

The anti-burglar mat goes on sale in Japan (of course) this fall. I’ll be buying one for sure!

The picture you see above is a real rat. It’s not a negative of a picture or photo shopped. It’s not frozen and is 100% legit which makes it all the more bizarre. But in reality, the blue skin is a great thing because its color may be the secret to avoid spinal cord injuries and paralysis, according to a new study by neurologists at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Brilliant Blue G dye, which is a type of Blue Number One. Brilliant Blue G dye is a common and harmless food coloring product that you could use to color Easter eggs with. Scientists dropped weights on the rats’ backs to break their little spinal cords, injecting the Brilliant Blue G dye in their bodies. The dye turned their skins blue, but within weeks all motor functions returned to normal. The rat could walk, run, jump, have sex, whatever.

According to the study, the dye prevented inflammation of the spinal cord. It’s that simple and one of the neurologist Maiken Nedergaard, who has been working on the testing, says that they can’t find “clinical effects on the rat.”

Animal testing is always a tricky subject to alot of people but this is one of the things that they should start trying in humans as soon as possible. Better to look like a smurf than never walk again…just sayin!

Anybody who knows me knows about my love and affection for the beautiful and talented Erin Andrews. So I had mixed feeling when I heard and saw the peeping Tom video shot of her. One one hand I was excited to get an eye full but at the same time, I was disgusted it happened to her and feel bad her privacy was invaded.

But know, if you’re hunting down her naked peephole video and you are a colossal idiot, beware because it could be a trick to get you to install a trojan horse, disguised as a video player.

The nasty hackers have released a file that requires you to install a custom video player, which is in fact a Mal/EncPk-IF malware—for PCs—or a OSX/Jahlav-C trojan horse—for Macs. I have no idea what the hell that means in computer geek speak but whatever. 

That said, if you believe that any video file requires a custom video player, you probably should get this and every other virus out there. Let this be a lesson to all of you who are trying to sneak a peek at my girl.

Some 36 year old German nutjob named Dirk Auer who only had retrofitted inline skates (that were specifically designed for the stunt) and a helmet topped out at 56mph while going down a 2,8000 foot (860 metre) rollercoaster.

How damn insane is that?!?!?

It took him 110 hours to prepare the whole thing, but the ride was over in one minute. This guy might not be the most efficient person with his time but what he did is pretty cool no matter the time put in. Keep in mind that this is the same guy who holds the world’s inline skating speed record…for being dragged by a Porsche GT2!!

This story would have been so much better if this crazy Dick (and yes there was a pun intended) hadn’t put a copyright claim on his youtube video and deprived us all of seeing just how nuts the whole thing was. Anyways, I’m sure it will come out eventually and when it does I’ll be sure to post it for you!

The Cloud Project almost didn’t seem real when I first heard about it. It seems like something I dreamed of as a kid or straight out of a children’s book. It involves spray flavored condensation and liquid nitrogen that would be put up into clouds and then forcing flavored snow to fall from the heavens.

I bet the person who thought this up was tripping balls on acid at the time.

I should point out that the whole thing is only a concept at this point but all I know is when I heard it will “snow ice cream,” I almost soiled myself in excitement and I’m sure I’m ot the only one!

I played baseball my whole life and my Dad always told me to never take my eye off the ball no matter if I was playing or watching on TV. Now ESPN has made that even easier for the people at home watching. You noticed this if you watched the Home Run Derby the other night. The first thing I thought when I saw it for myself was how the hell did they manage to show those cool ball trails in real time?

I suck at math and hate it but it involves a complicated math algorithm (whatever the hell that is I don’t know) that tracks and predicts the ball’s trajectory in real time, only 400 milliseconds after being hit. To get the data needed for the calculation, ESPN uses a 2000Hz Doppler radar which follows the ball’s speed, location and spin, given precise data of distance travelled, something that before took seconds or even minutes to calculate. After calculation, the path is shown overlaid on screen in real time, chasing the ball precisely.

That’s some new age technology is an old school game and I love it!
