Nobody gets more respect from me and the rap game than Lil Wayne because if nothing else, he’s the hardest working guy in the game. You think he might be done after having the album of the year, but he’s not…he’s never done!!!
You might have thought it all ended with “The Grand Finale” at Part 5, but Weezy is fresh off of the “Dedication 3″ and the Empire wastes no time hitting you with another classic Lil’ Wayne mixtape to savor.
After Dedication 3 gave us nothing but new and exclusive material, “The Drought Is Over, pt 6″ gives us the other side of Weezy. Digging up and coming up with more than 15 WORLD PREMIERE, never-before-heard joints from Killa Carter, this is the new “Reincarnation” chapter of the Drought Is Over saga.
Too much Wayne is never a bad thing!

The New Xbox Experience, or as I refer to it, the new 360 Dashboard is obviously out. If you’ve got an Xbox 360 that’s connected to the internet, you have to update your console as soon as you turn it on, sorry folks you can’t bypass it and there are NO exceptions. So get used to this new experience because this is what your machine will look like until it dies, you die, or Microsoft decides to make ANOTHER Xbox Experience.
A bunch of the guys in the office have some interesting opinions on the whole thing and here are a few of our observations along with others from bloggers on the net:
1) The download is really fast. Owners with hard drives that aren’t 100% full will be able to update with no problem, but Xbox 360 Arcade fans that rely on memory cards can get in on the free 512MB card deal from Microsoft. I’d say your best bet is to go with the 20GB hard drive for $20 if anything. The update won’t be as fast as the 10-second patches you’re used to for standard Xbox Dashboard upgrades, but clocking in at somewhere between five to ten minutes, it’s still faster than standard PS3 firmware refreshes. And this changes the entire UI.
2) The avatars are cool but need serious work. We think that the work isn’t necessary in the sense that you’ve still got the option of using your old gamerpics to represent your gamertag to the rest of Xbox Live, but everyone can create a Nintendo Mii-like avatar. Because there are only a few clothing options and customizability selections which are all kinda cheesy so essentially your Mii will only kinda look like you. But for the most part we like them.
3) Performance is better everywhere. The new Dashboard lift restrictions about how many resources it can use, thus giving you a much speedier and more fluid browsing experience. For example, your Xbox Live Arcade game list loads instantly, instead of one at a time in the order you downloaded them. Other time savers are the ability to bring up the Xbox guide from wherever you are and jump into another game, bypassing the need to reroute from back in the Dashboard. That’s pretty sweet to those of us who know what I’m talking about!
4) It’s organized better. By putting in a game and going to its info screen, you can look at its achievements, all its possible downloads and access game details like whether or not it supports 1080p and co-op. In fact, you can do this for all the games which gives you an easy way to browse around and learn what games you might see on WorldGaming.
5) Blades are still there if you want them. Even though you might be ”stuck” with the new interface in the actual Dashboard, you can hit the Xbox guide button on your controller and hop around the console that way. There really isn’t a reason to not like the new interface, but if you’re one of those psychos that hates things because they’re new (well then you’re probably not reading this blog or on WorldGaming), then you’ve got an option.
So those are 5 early observations, tomorrow I’ll have 5 more. Odds are you’ll probably disagree with soem of the things we’re saying here so shoot me back some messages and let me know what you think.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand…vote on the web poll and let us know your thoughts!!!
Hey everybody, your favorite gamers’ favorite gaming site here!!
So as you may know, WorldGaming will be opening up its Gamer Training Institute (GTI) soon, and because sometimes the best talent is right under your nose, we are making some positions available for our people to become Gamer Trainers.

Meet my man Mephisto6000, kid has serious swagger. He’s got great game but he’s very humble while being well mannered and I dig that about him. He’s one of the better Madden and Halo players out there on WorldGaming. As I’m typing this he’s currently 19-3 and willing to take on all challengers!
He lives in the Bronx and when he’s not playing video games or studying, he’s solely focused on his passion in life: track and field.
Click on the link below to get to know the phenom better and send him a challenge…don’t be scared!!!!!!!
Every week I’m going to do a player profile of someone on the WorldGaming site who is active in our community and holding things down. And I’m going to kick it off with one of the better FIFA players out there: Jray312.
He’s a brash guy with goals of becoming the best and richest gamer on WorldGaming…all through playing FIFA and Live. Hear what he has to say and go challenge him and see how you stack up!
With everything that’s been going on around the office and getting ready for the public beta and live launch, it’s been a while since I’ve done a profile on the guys that make us the juggernaut that we are. So, I’m starting it back up on Friday’s because you all should get to know the men and women around here.
John Costanza is one of the more popular guys around the office and no that isn’t his real name so don’t bother trying to google info on him. John’s a modest man who likes his privacy and prefers not to be indentified to the public. I can’t say I blame him, he’s amazing! If his real identity was revealved, he’d be mobbed by people trying to find him and become his friend like he was Russel Crowe or something.
But in all seriousness, John is a great guy and and an integral part of WorldGaming’s success. He’s one of the main developers that makes WG run. He’s definitely the most active guy outside of the office, I only wish I was half as active as he is. He’s into biking, mountain climbing, camping, rafting, sky diving, wrestling bears, playing the guitar and just dominating the world. Get to know my good buddy John…he’s a real mystery wrapped in a riddle!
That’s right…you read correct! I’m giving away 10 BETA invites into the exclusive WorldGaming BETA community. Things are crazy in there and we’re ready to let the first 10 people in who respond to beta@worldgaming.com.
Be quick cause getting an invite is kinda like finding the Golden Ticket in Willa Wonka, so feel privileged! Each user get’s 3 invites of their own to send out so start begging and bribing your friends for the chance to join the WorldGaming revolution…or just RESPOND ASAP!!!!
Dammit, do we love our gamers!! Bless yourself, if you haven’t already done that today!!
