Some people, companies, websites are known for having really good April Fool’s pranks, but I think that Google has the most creativity. One of the best gags in the past was Google Gulp which they branded as a ”smart drink,” supposedly launched by them to “maximize your surfing efficiency by making you more intelligent, and less thirsty.”
I think it kinda looked like Snapple and was said to contain technology called Auto-Drink, an embedded DNA scanner “reading all 3 gigabytes of your base pair genetic data in a fraction of a second, fine-tuning your individual hormonal cocktail in real time.”
They “offered’ it in four insanely names flavors—Glutamate Grape, Sugar-Free Radical, Beta Carroty and Sero-Tonic Water the in doing so the Google Gulp created major buzz across the web and blogs. See it’s much easier to fool the masses when you cater to basically the entire freaking world!!
It was obviously all a hoax but a good one so I was excited to see what they’d do this year and wondered if they could come up with something to top themselves. But I’ll let you bee the judge…does the introduction of the “world’s first ‘artificial intelligence’ tasked-array system,” called “CADIE” top Google Gulp.
Send me feedback and lets debate it!!
